Where's your LinkedIn?
At every event, somebody says "let's connect on LinkedIn." I say sure, and then I have to explain. In late October 2026, LinkedIn restricted my personal profile. The message said, roughly, that I am a TexAu founder, so I am responsible for not following their user agreement.
TexAu is the company I started in 2020. It automated prospecting on LinkedIn, and on July 17, 2025, LinkedIn sent the company a legal notice about it. Fifteen months later they restricted my own profile. I'm not going to argue about it here. I'm going to give you the dates, tell you what we decided, and give you an email address that works.
What happened, with dates
- Dec 2020 TexAu launched.
- Early 2023 Meta sent a cease-and-desist, three months before our planned April 26, 2023 launch.
- 2023 A week later, Meta disabled my Facebook and Instagram accounts, then my close family's. More than 10 are still disabled.
- 2023 We switched off every Facebook and Instagram automation and signed Meta's terms.
- Jul 2024 TexAu V2 launched.
- Jul 17, 2025 LinkedIn sent TexAu a legal notice. We had 10 days to respond.
- Oct 2026 LinkedIn restricted my personal profile.
Where I'm from
I grew up in the slums of Bombay, in a 6x6 apartment. My Dad taught me one thing: whatever happens, you keep moving forward. That is why giving up was never an option.
What we decided
After the LinkedIn notice, we rebuilt TexAu as V3 and made one rule: "We are not building on someone else's land anymore. We own the land this time."
This site is the same decision for my own name.
What this site is
A feed I host myself. Daily notes, written as Markdown files on my laptop. My X posts, synced in. My old Substack articles. A visit counter that is real. No algorithm, no Premium, no Pending.
How to reach me
Email first: hello@vikeshtiwari.com. X second: @iamvikeshtiwari. I read every message.
That's the story. If you came here from an event, the email is above. If you came here from a screenshot, hello. Both of you can write to me.
